The term "hook" refers to the rough griping side which is sewn to the patch, and "Loop" is the softer velcro side which is sewn to your garment. Officer patches with Hook and Loop come with the Hook velcro sewn to the back of the patch and the matching Loop velcro attached. Officer patches are sold in higher quantities so we are able to offer the set of velcro at a lower cost.
